Manufacturing Process of Curved Plywood

The production of curved plywood begins with the careful selection of high-quality thin wood layers, known as veneers. Typically, woods with excellent bending properties—such as eucalyptus, birch, or larch—are chosen. These veneers are first dried and then layered in a cross-grain arrangement to enhance the strength and stability of the final product.

During the manufacturing process, the veneers are coated with specialized adhesive and stacked to the desired thickness. They are then placed into custom-shaped molds. Through a controlled hot-pressing process—where temperature and pressure are precisely regulated—the plywood is formed into an exact curved profile, perfectly suited for the backrest and seat designs of auditorium chairs. This method ensures that the plywood retains its structural integrity while achieving smooth, durable, and lasting curves.
